Income Support

Parental Allowance / Maternal Health / Newborn Care
Weekly parental benefits for up to 26 weeks combined, plus a one-off Maternity or Adoption Grant.

Severe Disability Benefit
Weekly benefit for people who are severely disabled and need substantial care by day or night. Subject to an annual income limit.

Carer's Allowance
For people providing regular substantial care to someone with a disability.

Bereavement Payment, Bereavement Allowance and Widowed Parent's Allowance
Support for widows and widowers. Bereavement Allowance is payable for up to 52 weeks where there are no dependent children; Widowed Parent's Allowance is payable while caring for a dependent child.

A grant that reduces the cost of GP and practice nurse consultations.
